About the Jo Bryant Memorial Foundation:
The Jo Bryant Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was formed to provide awareness and fundraising for research of cholangiocarcinoma, while supporting patients and caregivers in memory of Jo Bryant. Our goal is to help in the fight against it, as there are no early symptoms, which make early detection rare and the survival rate very short. Although cholangiocarcinoma is rare, it is increasing and it took the lives of two beloved members of the Topeka community within two months of each other. Both had very different stories, but were teachers making a difference in the lives of their students when their lives were suddenly cut short by this disease. About the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation:
The Cholagiocarcinoma Foundation is the primary beneficiary for the Journey for Jo. Their mission is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those affected by bile duct cancer. As their reach continues to expand, they examine ways to improve diagnosis and early detection and advance therapies for prolonging life.
