Although cholangiocarcinoma is rare, it took the lives of two beloved members of the Topeka community within two months of each other. (See Jo and Emily’s stories) Both had very different stories, but were teachers making a difference in the lives of their students when their lives were suddenly cut short by this disease.
The fundraising for our 2014 Journey for Jo will benefit the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. They are hard at work continuing their pursuit of the CURE.
Because of their ongoing research and patient information with endless support and kindness, we at the Jo Bryant Memorial Foundation are dedicated to helping support the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation to help others who are forced to deal with this form of cancer.
“Her legacy lives on now in you and your children. You carry the same genes that you embraced and admired in your mother. Every tear you shed is a tear of love for her. May you feel love and peace knowing she is now without pain.” ~Anita W.
